Embracing my food preferences

As a 26-year-old woman dealing with picky eating disorder, I often feel misunderstood and judged for my limited food choices. It’s challenging to explain to others that my aversion to certain foods goes beyond just being a ‘picky eater.’ I want to reach out to others who may be going through the same struggles and offer support and understanding. I’ve found that seeking help from a mental health professional has been incredibly empowering and has given me the tools to work through my disorder. I’m learning to embrace my food preferences and take small steps towards expanding my palate. It’s a slow process, but I’m hopeful that I can overcome this challenge and lead a more fulfilling life. I want to encourage anyone else struggling with picky eating disorder to seek help and know that they are not alone in this journey.
