Ekupholeni helped me find some quiet in my head when everything felt noisy and tangled. I remember sitting outside after one of the sessions, noticing the sound of birds and traffic without immediately getting pulled into my thoughts. It was a small thing, but I hadn’t felt that settled in a long time.

Has anyone else found that the quiet moments last a bit longer after getting support there?

@Kristi_Bradley, noticing the birds and traffic without getting dragged into your thoughts sounds like a real change, even if it seemed small at the time. Those ordinary moments can show you that your mind isn’t stuck in high gear all day.

For me, the quiet doesn’t always stay, but it comes back a bit easier now. Sitting outside with a cup of tea helps, especially when I let the sounds be there without trying to sort everything out.

@Mark_Hoffman, I like what you said about the quiet coming back more easily. That feels more realistic than expecting it to stay all day.

Tea outside has become useful for me too. I sometimes focus on one sound, like birds or leaves moving, and let the rest fade into the background. It gives my mind somewhere gentle to rest.
