Depression Linked to Ultra-Processed Foods, Artificial Sweeteners

This article is a great reminder that what we eat can have a big impact on our mental health. After reading it, I’m convinced that reducing our intake of ultra-processed food and artificial sweeteners can help us reduce our risk of depression. We’ve all heard that eating a healthy diet is important, but this article provides evidence that there is a direct link between processed food and depression. It’s really eye-opening to see the data that shows that a diet high in ultra-processed foods like chips and cookies can have such a negative impact on mental health. It’s clear that we need to be more mindful about what we’re putting into our bodies and make sure to limit our intake of processed food. We need to make sure that we’re eating healthy, balanced meals that are packed with whole foods.
