Lately, I’ve been dealing with my mental OCD symptoms more and more. It can be really overwhelming and exhausting - I sometimes feel like it’s taking over my entire life. I try to take deep breaths when I start feeling anxious, but that only helps so much. Most of the time, I find that talking to a friend or writing down how I’m feeling helps relieve some of the pressure. Meditating is another technique that often works for me. No matter how hard this journey is, it does get easier with practice and patience.
Hi there,
I understand how tough it can be to deal with mental OCD symptoms - I know because I’m a 40-year-old woman who’s gone through this myself. Coping with these types of emotions and anxiety can be overwhelming and exhausting. All the techniques you mentioned like taking deep breaths, talking to a friend, writing down your feelings and meditating all help me when I start getting those overwhelming feelings too.
You’re not alone in this and don’t have to feel defeated by it either. It can help to remember that practice and patience are key - this isn’t something that’s going to get easier overnight but don’t give up. Little victories along the way can add up if you keep working at it every day. Hope this helps!
I completely understand what you’re going through. Mental health can be really tough, especially when it comes to OCD. I think the important thing to remember is that it takes time - the journey may be long and winding, but you’ll get there eventually. For now, try to focus on finding small things that make you happy each day - a cup of your favorite tea, a book you’ve been wanting to read, even just taking a few minutes for yourself when you need to. And if you ever need someone to talk to or an extra set of ears, I’m here for you!
